What we do.

From preconstruction through installation, testing, and maintenance, G2.0 brings experienced estimating, project management, and IBEW field teams together to deliver complex electrical scopes across California.

Design-Build

Preconstruction, estimating, electrical design, constructability review, safety planning, and field execution coordinated under one team to identify issues early and protect the project schedule.

Commercial and Industrial

Complete electrical construction for commercial and industrial facilities, including temporary power, conduit and wiring, energy management, generator systems, mechanical upgrades, network infrastructure, and security systems.

Testing and Maintenance

Testing, diagnostics, and maintenance for operating electrical systems, including infrared scanning, low- and high-voltage testing, arc-flash studies, GFI testing, metering, power monitoring, and switchgear maintenance.

Low Voltage

Structured cabling, fiber-optic infrastructure and splicing, security systems, audiovisual infrastructure, and other low-voltage systems.

How we work.

Six commitments that guide every project we take on, regardless of size, scope, or complexity.

Honest

Straightforward pricing and communication. We address issues early, communicate clearly, and don't hide problems.

Accountable

We take ownership of our commitments, from the scope we price to the work we deliver in the field.

Qualified

Experienced IBEW professionals supported by continuing safety, technical, and trade-specific training.

Specialized

We match the right experience and training to each project's specific systems, environment, and requirements.

Quality

Quality is expected on every installation. We build it right, test it thoroughly, and stand behind our work.

Courteous

We respect the jobsite, the facility, and the teams working alongside us. Our work areas are maintained professionally from mobilization through closeout.

Three generations, one trade.

Electrical contracting has been part of the Schilz family for three generations. From AMCO Electric to Glow Electric to G2.0, each generation built its own company while carrying forward decades of industry experience.

Leo Schilz
1950 – 1984

AMCO Electric

Leo Schilz founded AMCO Electric in 1950, building it into one of California's largest electrical contractors and contributing to the state's growing aerospace infrastructure and ballistic missile programs.

Brad Schilz
1987 – 2005

Glow Electric

Brad Schilz founded Glow Electric in 1987 and led the company until 2005, when he and Carole Schilz transitioned leadership to their son, Tyson Schilz.

G2.0

G2.0 was formed in 2017 under Tyson Schilz's leadership as a union commercial and industrial electrical contractor. Today, G2.0's work spans major sports and entertainment venues, aviation, education, government, aerospace, and complex commercial facilities throughout California.
